Jan Schreck und Sascha Höhne gewinnen die Sommer-Ausgabe des Berliner Hut-Turniers

Bei gutem Wetter und verträglichem Wind fanden sich gestern ca. 30 Jammer plus Begleitung auf dem ehemaligen Flughafen Tempelhof ein, um die Sommer-Ausgabe unseres beliebten Hut-Turniers zu zelebrieren.

Zum ersten und hoffentlich nicht zum letzten Mal mit dabei waren Pablo Azul aus Kolumbien, unser Gastjammer aus Portugal, Joao Veiga und Miss Sophie Rickers aus Brighton.
Auch aus Prag waren wieder einige Stammgäste angereist: Irena Kulisanova, Jakub “Mystique” Matula und Jakub Kostel gaben sich und uns die Ehre. Aus Köln kamen Ilka Simon, die leider nach einem Aufenthalt beim Spincollectif in Paris verletzt ist und nicht teilnehmen konnte, und Shredmaster Waldemar Wagner. Insgesamt also mal wieder eine gut gemischte Truppe, die ein spannendes Turnier versprach. Jason McGlade (leider auch verletzt) übernahm, nachdem er seine Moderatorenkünste ja bereits bei der WM in Karlsruhe unter Beweis stellen konnte, das Megafon und sorgte so für gute Unterhaltung in den Spielpausen.

Vielen Dank an alle Gäste und Organisatoren für einen äusserst gemütlichen Tag auf dem Flugfeld Tempelhof!

Die Bedingungen für einen Tag non-stop Jammen waren traumhaft. Eine konstante Brise aus SSW, abgerundet mit angenehmen 20 °C, trieb die scheibenfreudige Meute von Jammer an. Die Teilnehmer kamen aus ganz Deutschland, Italien, Israel, England und Tschechien.

Berlin Tempelhof

Hello Frisbee-family,

this years winter edition of our hat tourney took place at Tempelhof airfield. Conditions were fantastic for winter: it was dry all day and as we left the jamspot, the first snow in Berlin this winter covered the ground in light white.

there was a slight, mostly friendly breeze all day long. the main challenge was the temperature of -5 °C (~25°F). But all jammers enjoyed themselves for up to 5 hrs of jammin’! Amazing atmosphere with all these crazy people…

We played one round, random teams were picked from the hat, directly went to the arena and their run was filmed. In the evening we met @ Crucible Theatre, Korsobad Berlin, which hosted us and gave us their place for video judging on a huge screen, eating and having a couple of drinks… Thanks for that!

Thanks also to Irena and Mystic Jammer, who again came all the way from Prague to join us for the winter jam!

30 degrees, no shade. Berlin is always worth a visit and guest jammers from LA, New York, Tel Aviv, Copenhagen, Karlsruhe and Neubrandenburg made ​​this tournament a memorable one. More than 30 Jammers enjoyed the sun and the relaxed feeling of a Berlin Jam. Shortly before the world championships in Prague just the right thing. We played a Coop Hat Tournament so we had more time to jam… and of course it was too hot.

We took a Bruch contest. Two people competed against each other and had to run and bruch 30 yards. Then you had to catch or the run was repeated. The winner came in the next round. In a spectacular finale, the winner was Markus Hein.

This was Fun! The Sun was shining, the wind was blowing and the jams were as deep as the blue sky. Guest jammers from LA, Milano, Prag, Köln, Braunschweig and Neubrandenburg made this yet another great 123 Four Seasons Hat Tournament; the first in the series with an Open Coop format to increase the effective jam time.

This must have been the light of Jesus! A sunny weekend in early October made this a very special and unique Autumn edition of the 123 Four Seasons series.The wind was the jammers friend this time; pleasing us with constant and moderate strength.

Collocated with two jammers birthdays the crowd not only shredded hard but also partied even harder. Guest-jammers from Copenhagen, Braunschweig, Cologne, Freiburg and Nurnberg completed an unforgettable weekend.
